Pocket Worlds: Selfie Factory, It all begins with an idea.
Havering isn’t a very engaged community in the arts and with one another. Havering Changing is an organisation funded by Art Council England to organise and commission projects that people of the local communities will enjoy and participate in while support local creatives.
My Pocket Worlds Selfie Factory aimed to capture imagination of local people and invite them to explore and photograph themselves or family members in photogenic scenes which included; the Fantasy Garden, an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ style tea party, a Butterfly Room, and a Room Filled with Clouds.
I created a unique experience for Havering Changing and residents from Collier Row that encourage participants to get creative with their camera phones and have a chance to escape from the everyday.
